BEST NEW SONGS - BONZAI - 2B

As far as tracks named after text lingo, I am going to have to put this one slightly behind Teagan & Sara's “BWU.” Please note, I'm not trying to take anything away from Bonzai’s latest single “2B,” it's just that the aforementioned track by the sisters Quin is one of my favorites of the year.

Anyhow, “2B” is the third track released off the London songstress’ forthcoming debut, Lunacy, and it’s a banger. “2B” is a bass propelled power pop number that shines in all the right places. Bonzai’s gorgeous vox soar over the synth and electronic percussion for a silky smooth song that’ll leave you dreaming of summer drives with the windows downs and not a care in the world. Only you're not in a car, you're in a spaceship. And instead of a highway you're driving past a dwarf planet or something. I don't know man, it's been a long week. You finish the metaphor.

This song is great regardless of what I say about it. So go ahead and listen to it already.

Lunacy is out this Friday, which is probably the day you’re reading this on. It's one of the best EPs you’ll hear this or any year.
