BEST NEW TRACKS: KANE WEST "WESTERN BEATS"

No folks, that's not a typo in the title of this post. Although that has to be the intention of London DJ Kane West, purveyor of cool new tracks like "Western Beats."

Whomever the hell Kane West is, and I assure you there isn't a whole lot of information out there, he's signed to something called PC Music. There's about as much information on PC Music as there is the other K-West, although the folks at Noisey opined it's "a group of artists connected by a sound that should be described as post-ringtone," and I'm certainly not going to do any better than that.

As for his new Western Beats EP, it's a manic disco-house hybrid that has energy pouring out its seams. You can call the seven tracks anything you like, but they're never boring. If you feel like failing today, try and listen to the 15 minute super-cut of the record streaming below while trying to sit still. It's probably not impossible, but it's got to be pretty damned close. At the very least, listening to this music and not getting up and moving around has to be bad for you. Right?
