10 Best EDM Tracks of the Week!

by Uncle Flex | 9/18/12

Hello world. As you may know, it’s the one year anniversary of the Occupy Wall Street movement. In honor of this, I am going to occupy BitCandy.com and DEMAND that those corporate fat cats share their treasure trove of top dance songs with the world and....

What was that Glitch?  You say that bitcandy already shares all this music for free?  And that I can even get paid for discovering new music? In that case, I guess I’ll let BitCandy do their thing and just occupy this chair.

Swedish House Mafia - Don't You Worry Child ft. John Martin

Swedish House Mafia seems to be coming to an end, so we must ask, could this be the last SHM video ever made? We will see in time, but they seem to be saying enough is enough. This video is mostly footage of their epic last show at  Milton Keynes Bowl this past July where this song debuted. Overall, this isn’t anything exotic or breakthrough, but it is something very cool from a legendary group of Swedes.

Eva Simons - Renegade (Wolfbrain's Discovery Project Remix)

You haven’t heard of Wolfbrain yet? Well get your ass in gear and give this a listen. While the duo’s style can be vary across the board, this one puts down a syncopated line of percussion, offering a sort of latin moombah-esque feel. Be ready for something new from them soon...

Laidback Luke - Cambodia  FREE DOWNLOAD!

Last week we brought you a horrible remix by Laidback Luke. This week, we bring you a kickass original. Call me crazy, but I get Abba vibes from this one. Free download!

Unabashed Commercial Spot - Hey buy something from Amazon!

A None - Flying High

No it’s not A-Trak.  It’s A None and this soft dreamy trance track is something we are getting totally lucid over.  And of all places...A None comes from Kuwait.  So support a music artist here who’s life is probably rougher than yours.

Bassnectar - Hexes [ft. Chino Moreno]

Apparently this is one of the title tracks to Resident Evil: Retribution.   And you know we love us some “Alice!”  She can beat me up anytime.  Milla...c’mon...you know where I live.  Anyway...despite this being kinda a B+ it seems that “Hexes” is perfect zombie fodder.

Kill The Noise, Datsik - Lightspeed (The M Machine Remix)

Remember when we told you that The M Machine was the second coming back in October 2011.  (Full Review here of their still yet unreleased full album locked away in my safe).  Well … told ya.  OK maybe they’re not the second coming but we sure are creaming.  Still our vote for Best New Electronic artist of the year.

Queen of War - Sex Up My Brain (DESIGNER DRUGS REMIX)

Queen of War wants you to “Sex Up My Brain”...Designer Drugs more than accomodates in this filthy steamy sexy remix.

Clockwork - Titan (Coyote Kisses Remix)

This Coyote will lick you.  Then eat your face off.

Excision and Datsik - Deviance (Dirtyphonics Remix)

This is kinda sounding like the soundtrack to an Electro Banger Halloween.  But EDM is good for any season so check out what Excision and Datsik are bringing...total sonic anarchy.

Dear New York (Original mix)

A new diddy up towards the top of beatport’s list, this opens with a funky breakbeat before dropping going Dutch.

C2C - Arcades

So that's what we got for you...now instead of ooccupying Wall Street (like that's going to do anything)...go and occupy some bass frequencies...compliment of this weeks Best EDM 2012.

Don't forget we do a best of week summary for indie and alternative pop as well.   And you can get those juicy gems here.
