New Indie Finds: MVSCLES
New Finds: MVSCLES Written and Discovered by Cassidy Rose.
For a group that only has two or three songs available, MVSCLES sure is making a splash all across the interwebs. Their first track, "Sweet n Sour" was released about a month ago, and we here at Bitcandy brought it to your attention a short while after that.
MVSCLES consists of Chad Montermini and Cat Poternostro, both from Boston. I have to say, I really don’t know what genre to put their music in. On their Soundcloud, both songs are labeled as FVTVRE, so I’ll stick with that. Apparently in the future, we replace Us with Vs. Sure, ok.
Anyway, "Sweet n Sour" is a really relaxed and fun song, and it somehow sticks in your head like none other. I don’t know if it’s the beat or the unique little vocal hooks, but something about it has just lodged in my brain for the past couple weeks. I’m really not complaining. It’s been quite enjoyable.
There are some remixes of "Sweet n Sour" available on MVSCLES’s bandcamp, but in my opinion, none of them improve on the original. The C.Z. Remix is pretty good, but still not nearly as infectious as the original song.
Just a few days ago, MVSCLES released their second track, "Where You Are," which I think might be my favorite out of the two. This song has the same elements as "Sweet n Sour" (the simple electronic beat and cute wooos), but this song is made of daydreams and sunshine and everything happy and trippy.
I haven’t heard anything like MVSCLES before, and I have to say, I really like this FVTVRE music thing. Can’t wait to see what else they’ve got!
