Best New Tracks: Hodgy Beats "Sale"

Despite being one of the founding members of Odd Future, Hodgy Beats doesn't get too much love. Then again, most people think the only members of Odd Future are Tyler, The Creator, Frank Ocean, and Earl Sweatshirt.  Hodgy ( a.k.a. Gerard Damien Long) aims to change all that this year. At the beginning of the month he released an EP entitled Untitled 2. And on that EP is today's best new track, "Sale."

"Sale" is pretty clearly the work of OFWGKTA. The beat (by Leftbrain) is the sort of organized chaos they've perfected. The autobiographical lyrics range from absurd to illuminating as they effortlessly swing between bragging to self-deprecating in the same breath.

In short, this track is great.
