Best of Weekly PopKiller 4 Yo Ass
This week's PopKiller is somewhat mash up special. Featuring cuts from producer prodigies ala The Hood Internet, Super Mash Bros, Fareoh and Basic Physics (plus a number brought to you direct from Planet Phantom...uh...you'll see what we mean below) – what are you waiting for? Scroll down now!! But first let's get started with the new Nicki MInaj:
Nicki Minaj - "Starship"
She's on a "Starship" after the last "WTF was that" Grammy Performance. (I heard Lada Gaga was laughing her ass off in the front row). The new Nicki is Hot!
"The Last Cup Is Always The Hardest" Super Mash Bros. (Oasis / Kanye West / Sean Kingston)
Super Mash Bros. kick off this week's PopKiller with a super-chill mash up which samples "Wonderwall" by Oasis, "Runaway" by Kanye West and "Replay" by Sean Kingston (to name a humble few). Taken from Super Mash Bros. Miley High Club EP - which is out now dawgs!
"Feel So Close" Fareoh (Calvin Harris / Wolfgang Gartner / Daft Punk)
19 year old NYC producer, Fareoh, has just dropped the following bootleg which fuses Calvin Harris' "Feel So Close" with some Wolfgang Gartner and vintage Daft Punk. Watch out for the absolutely banging dub breakdown – it comes outta nowhere! Yikes!
"Raise The Dead" Phantom Planet
We're gonna swerve away from the mash ups and take an alt-pop turn, if that's okay with you? It is? Oh, good! "Raise The Dead" is taken from Phantom Planet's (yeh, "the OC theme tune band") fourth full-length of the same name, which dropped way back in 2008. So why are we revisiting it now you ask? Cos Phantom Planet have only gone and reunited, y'all! *Fan girl scream* Oh... wait... we the only ones who care? :(. Whatever...
"Move Up" The Hood Internet (Phantogram / Wiz Khalifa)
Another week, another PopKiller, another fucking HOOD INTERNET MASH UP! Soz guys, but you gotta admit, these dudes bring the blogosphere dowwwwnnnn when it comes to consistency. "Move Up" is the latest Hood mix to hit the net. Pitching Phantogram vs Wiz Khalifa, we bet Amber Rose is shaking her voluptuous ass to it as we type.
"The Dopest Antidote" Basic Physics (Eminem / LMFAO / Far East Movement)
Wisconsin's Basic Physics recently released a free mash album, Lift Off (which you can go grab over at Facebook). Highlight, "The Dopest Antidote," is a fiery cocktail of Eminem, LMFAO and Far East Movement. This super intense, crunchy drop will get that pulse-a-pumpin'!
"Without Jagger" Basic Physics (David Guetta / Maroon Five / Usher)
David Guetta (fresh from backing woman beater, Chris Brown, at the Grammys) and Maroon Five (fresh from destroying The Beach Boys legacy at the Grammys) and Usher (fresh from...uh...not much) all feature in this second slice from Basic Physics' Lift Off LP.
"I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Robots with Rayguns Remix)" Whitney Houston
"Fade Into Blackout" Basic Physics (Avicii / Usher / Breathe Carolina)
Say, shall we shoot for a Basic Physics hat-trick? Hell yeh! Here's another album cut from Lift Off, "Fade Into Blackout," which samples Avicii's mega "Levels." This staccato mash builds to an epic climax which beats any orgasm we've ever had...
