This track was released in 1979, and what with its goofball synthscape and robot doowop, “Pop Muzik” sonically marked the moment when the 70s peepee penetrated the 80s veevee.
“Pop Muzik” was a #1 smash in both the US and Canada, and went on to feature on M's debut album fail, New York • London • Paris • Munich.
Sadly/Thankfully (delete as appropriate), we haven't heard from M mastermind, Robin Scott, since. Seriously, this guy is as bad as Jane Child for one hit wonderin'.
