Yes, you read that right!
Today's Candy is the one... the only... “THRILLER” (we hope you did the “DUH DUH!” in your head).
Okay, so, we ALL know the song, we ALL know the dance, but BitCandy wondered... when was the last time you actually watched the video right through, from start to finish?!
You have to remember how GROUND-BREAKING this video was! In 1982, the typical running time for a music video was 3:30, max. But “Thriller” – which was directed by An American Werewolf in London's John Landis – transformed the format into a short film (without it, we'd never have had “Telephone” ).
Plus, this was pre-YouTube, y'all! So the only way you could watch it back in the day was by staying glued to MTV, who rotated it 3-4 times a day (unless you had it on VHS like me #humblebrag).
