If you're like me, you probably wonder why Pitchfork gave XYZ artist a 9.0 rating when it's really just disposable Brooklyn "bro's in bedrooms" fodder. At BitCandy's we've taken a different a approach to our reviews on music page. First of all, YOU don't need US to tell you that the new Kanye West or Radiohead album is friggin unbelievable. There are a thousand other posts saying exactly the same thing. So yeah...We'll leave that to them.

At BitCandy we believe what's important is being your trusted music filter. Do you have time for mediocre? Good...because I don't. I like you already :) Like why do most blogs and magazines think i want to read about 30 new bands that were just "pretty good?" Gah! Enough with your 7.0 ratings! Jeez! And what's worse is I certainly don't have time for Posers (aka mega hyped music fails). You know...that new album release that you just can't avoid seeing written up everywhere, seeing all the the publicity...the press...the TV appearances...the interviews...yada yada yada. And finally you give in. You get the latest album and surprise, surprise...it's just garbage. Maybe one good song on it. Well don't you worry darling. A good section of our indie music reviews is just dedicated to those "special" artists. Yes, we love to dish.

But you know what's more important? Bringing you the best indie album that NO ONE is talking about. Now THAT's important! Did you know that every year there are over 70,000 album or EP releases. (This is fact!). Our take is...so what if you didn't have a $100,000 marketing budget! If we love your music...we're writing you up and telling the world...and you might even get to hear it on our own indie radio!
